family time

First cross-country journey for Ruby Rose. We flew to Oregon to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary - what a great weekend. About 120 people showed up from all corners of the earth. My sister, Linda, did so much work to pull it off, and with other help and generosity we put on a pretty good party for them.
Ruby Rose was a terrific traveler, too, even on the return which required some creative adjustments, and got us home at 2am.

my other blog

our hero: the Generac XP8000XL

Even though I've mixed in some business stuff, this blog was intended to dispense personal information and events. So I've started another blog that is focused on my professional life. Please go check out some of the projects I'm working on at www.kevinmorrisphoto.blogspot.com.

I've also launched a new website that caters to my weddings & events business. It's at www.kevinmorrisweddings.com

Meanwhile, life is changing a bit around here. Ruby Rose has been such a joy for us. She has brought a bright light to an already happy house. So bright was her light that it shorted out the power grid for 160,000 Mainers on the day we got home from the hospital! Well, that's maybe a bit of a stretch, but we do think she's a very special girl.

turns out she's a fighter...

Ruby Rose came home Sunday night and about the time we got settled in we lost power. So her first 2 days have been lived under the graces of the generator. No worries, she's warm and happy, and got a perfect score at her first doctor's visit today.

IT'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN....

Believe it or not this picture was taken a month ago!
It's not gonna be long now, the signs are coming.
Diana's 5 days late - and we are both ready for this baby.
Next posting will be us plus one.

EVER HOPEFUL FOR THE NEW YEAR !!

Hope you feel that even with all the craziness that appears in the headlines each day, 2009 is full of hope and promise. Maybe the trick is deciding what you're hopeful for, and where to look for promise.
For our inimitable black lab Nelson "The Chap" Norwood, the promise is no further away than the treats cupboard.
And he kinda looks like a land-seal, doesn't he?
The Chap is eight years old, and has acquired a most distinguished grey in his muzzle. That's about 46 is human years - hmmm...
Have a great year!
